Italy was adopted today to the same family who has former VHS kitty Jet. Jet's new name is Apollo, and they are thinking of naming Italy..Athena!

Apollo and Athena are about the same age, so they could be "long lost siblings." Hehe!

KARSON, our mayor, was adopted this afternoon!

The girl who was taking care of him during Critter Camp was the family who adopted him. How cool is that?!

Grizzly

Grizzly was adopted this afternoon to a really great family. They were here for quite a few hours trying to find the right fit.

After discussion, Grizzly seemed to be the right match. Congrats Grizzly!

Panda, his brother, is still here in Kitty City, looking for his forever family.

Penguin

Penguin, of the Black and White litter, was adopted this afternoon to a great couple. They saw her in the news paper and just had to have her. It was a great fit and we are so glad they found each other.

Butch

Butch went home today to a great couple.

They had lost their kitty a while back who was also a declawed Siamese. Butch went in with their family perfectly and it was great! They even held them a homecoming party. :D

Capellini

Capellini was adopted this morning to a great lady! He was only here for a very short time. All of his siblings and mom are still here looking for their forever homes.

Adoption Promotion!

Hi everyone!

This weekend at Valley Humane Society we are hosting an adoption promotion! We will be open Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-3. During this weekend, we are offering, "Buy 1, Get 1 half off!" Hehe. We will have cats, dogs, and kittens.

Nokia

Nokia was adopted today to a great family! She will be living with former VHS kitty, Lady Liberty who was adopted August 2009. I'm so glad. The family took their time picking between the "cell phones" litter, and it is great to see their new family member fitting in so well.

Critter Camp

Critter Camp starts today!

Critter Camp is a week long day camp for kids aged 9-12. Every day they care for a kitty in Kitty City, and do a craft and learn about pets, and their proper care and we go on a fieldtrip!

We are going to these places: East County Animal Shelter, Circle J, Lindsay Wildlife Museum, Camp Bow Wow and Bishop Ranch Vet Hospital.

I get to help teach Camp with our Humane Education Assistant, and I'm so excited!
